Day 1
On arrival, guests are met at the airport and transferred to hotel for Welcome Ceremony and Orientation. Overnight in Accra.
Day 2
After early breakfast, travel to Kumasi. En-route visit Bonwire where the famous Kente cloth is woven with intricate and colourful patterns on traditional loom; Ntonso, home of "Adinkra" cloth and Anhwiaa, a craft village where the famous Ashanti stools and wide variety of woodcarvings are skillfully crafted.
Tour Apatakesie, Cultural and Craft centre, Ashanti library, Prempeh II Museum and Okomfo Anokye sword, all in Kumasi. Dinner and overnight in Kumasi.
Day 3
After an early breakfast at hotel, you will travel through Brong Ahafo Region, "the breadbasket of Ghana" to Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, where monkeys live quite happily with human beings.
You will see in the forest, wide range of butterflies, birds and plant species.
Dinner and overnight at Techiman.
Day 4
After breakfast at hotel, you travel to the Mole National Park near Damango in the Northern Region of Ghana.
Dinner and overnight at Mole Motel.
Day 5
You will enjoy game viewing on foot or in the Motel transport at dawn, the ideal time for viewing. After breakfast, continue with game viewing. The less adventurous can use the viewing platform. Lunch and dinner at Motel. Overnight at Mole Motel.
Day 6
Depart for Larabanga, after breakfast, to see the Larabanga Mosque, believed to be the oldest mosque in Ghana, and the "mystery" stone that has defied all efforts to move it from its location. Travel to Kumasi, en-route, stop over to see the Kintampo water falls and have lunch at Sunyani, the regional capital of Brong Ahafo Region. Overnight in Kumasi.
Day 7
After breakfast at hotel, travel to Accra through the scenic Akuapem mountains. After lunch at Aburi Botanical Gardens, walk through the century old gardens, home to exotic plants from various parts of the world, visit Aburi art and craft village. Overnight in Accra.
Day 8
After breakfast, travel to Sogakope and cruise to Manet Paradise Beach Resort at Ada, along the Volta River. Enjoy real local music on the boat. Enjoy some water sports at your convenience. Bonfire and Barbeque. Overnight at Ada.
Day 9
Cross over river bank to have a beach party. Do some angling in the Volta River (optional). Return to Accra in the afternoon. Overnight in Accra.
Day 10
Spend the day at ease. Available options are Golf at Achimota Golf Course, the sandy La Pleasure Beach, the Rocky Next Door Beach Resort and shopping at the Arts and Crafts Bazaar. Farewell ceremony and departure. End of Tour. |
